Fully rooted and actively growing
Dischidia String of Nickels is an epiphytic succulent, meaning it grows naturally on tree branches. It is surprisingly easy to grow in a hanging basket as a houseplant or patio plant, and does well under artificial light. Grown for its foilage, this plant features long strands of small, round green/silver leaves that can grow vertically or cascading over a pot.
As they are native to tropic regions they benefit from misting every few days to keep up the humidity. String of nickels likely wont require fertiliser but will need a soil change every year in summer or spring.
Use a chunky, well draining succulent potting mix and let the soil dry in between watering to avoid rot. Dischidia String of Nickels can grow up to 30cm tall and can spread up to 50cm wide.
